Welcome to ICFDM2008!

Along with the conference committees, I would like to invite you to attend the 8th Young Scientists Conference on Design and Manufacturing Sciences and the 8th S.M. Wu Symposium on Manufacturing Sciences in Tianjin , China , during September 23-26, 2008.

ICFDM is an international conference sponsored by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). The conference is held every two years as a venue for communication and cooperation among researchers in the field of design and manufacturing science. It is also a platform for promotion of development of design and manufacturing technology. This year, the theme for the conference is Innovation and Development of Design and Manufacturing Technologies. The conference will include invited speeches from outstanding researchers throughout the world and presentation of progress and latest achievements of projects granted by NSFC. The Best Project Award will also be elected at the conference.

v       The paper submission deadline has been extended until April 15, 2008.

v      The accepted papers will be considered for publication in the following journals:

   1)        Click “ Paper Submission ” at the conference website homepage;

   2)        Click “Log in” button;

   3)        Your username is your registered email;

   4)        Your password is the paper number.
